I am directed to inform you that His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government is not satisfied with the explanation given by you in your evidence before the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance Commission of the state of your financial affairs.
His Excellency desires to know whether you are prepared to furnish any further particulars by way of explanation, more especially with regard to
(a) the sources from which you obtained the sums aggregating $2,130 which you paid into the Savings Bank between February and September, 1902.
(b) the sums aggregating $6,600 paid into your current account with the Chartered Bank from August, 1905, to April, 1906.
(c) the sum of $1,900 put on fixed deposit with the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank on 6th September, 1905.
(d) the exact sums being money the property of the Corinthian Yacht Club which you paid into your private account while acting as Treasurer of that Club.
(e) the sums which you advanced to the Corinthian Yacht Club from time to time out of your own funds.
